You can help to translate the website!

Thursday 25 February 2010 at 18:42

Hi everybody !

Many of you sent me a mail to help translating the website. That is why today, I built a file that contains all translations of the website.
If you want to help us, you can download this file to translate POL website in your language.

But please know that, even if you help translate the website in your tongue, we can not guarantee to open a forum section and a news section. In fact, we also need moderators and newsers for that.

But at least, the member would be able to understand the home page, the download page, the main links, the member list, private messages, etc...

The file is here : http://www.playonlinux.com/files/language_package.tar.gz

Hope we could open new translated website
Thank you for your help !

Quick question: Should the translation more formal or more informal?
Some languages (i.e. german) have two transations for third person singular: "Du" (informal) and "Sie" (formal).

Rank: Guest @cronotk:
Well, just take the informal way.

The philosophy of the GPL is like this, too.

I'm ending the translate of documentations session and i had a problem with: I recommend that you use Zoloom's program to script : <b>PlayOnLinux-Script-Creator</b>.

I have started a german translation. Is there anybody else working on this?
Mark Thursday 13 May 2010 at 21:01 -
Rank: Guest It is currently impossible to register on the forums. It looks broken. Does not return error or confirmation. It just keeps reloading the same page and no email is received

To complicate matters further there is no contact information here whatsoever.

This of course AFTER spending hours to try to get one silly game to run which will probably still have the same issues as I see with wine. Your installation for star wars episode 1 racer is broken, no matter what I try to tell the installer.

VERY FRUSTRATIING

lost a day on this, now back to square one. Another not ready for prime time solution

Rank: Guest Hello Dear PlayOnLinux Users & Adminstrators! :-)

I'll Translate this Project to 2 Languages, but there will be 4 Translations:

Romanian Formal
Romanian Informal

German Formal
German Informal

It will take about 1 or 2 Months, because I will update the Documentation too, since it is not really understandable and easy for most of the Users.

I cannot promise you anything, but I'll do my best :-)

Greetings from Austria,
Andrei

If someone have too much time, please help with finnish transslation.
Jos jollakulla on ylimääräistä aikaa voisi auttaa puutteellisten ja puuttuvien käännösten kanssa.
