Hi all,

I'm running Kubuntu 7.10. Firefox 3 can't handle Replicon's Timesheet system, which my company has just begun using. I'd rather not go back to Firefox 2 or use IE, so I thought I'd try Safari.

However, the Timesheet website is on a secure link (https://...)

For ANY secure linked webpage - not just the Timesheet website; any https:// site - I get the following error in Safari:

Safari can’t open the page “https://vpn.nacs.uci.edu/” because it couldn’t establish a secure connection to the server “vpn.nacs.uci.edu”.

Ideas?

I had the same issue with Firefox 3.0 in a Windows environment. Replicon has a fix that needs to be implemented on the Web TimeSheet Server. It's just a single java script file that needs to be replaced. Here is the reply I received after emailing their support team.

"We have a patch file that needs to be placed in the installation directory of Web Timesheet which will fix this problem. I have attached the file with this email, please follow the steps given below

- Go to the insttalation directory of Web Timesheet (C:\Program Files\Replicon Inc\Web TimeSheet\HTML\JavaScript\timesheet)
- Find the file timesheetclassicgui.js and rename it as timesheetclassicgui.old
- Now unzip the file that you received as attachment with this email.
- Copy the timesheetclassicgui.js and paste it in the timesheet folder (C:\Program Files\Replicon Inc\Web TimeSheet\HTML\JavaScript\timesheet)
- Restart the Web Timesheet service
- Clear the temp files and cookies and close any open Web Timesheet windows
- Now launch web timesheet in firefox "

Hope this helps!

Hi linuqe,

That's great - I'll pass that onto our IT team. Thanks

Meanwhile, I can't mark this as solved. Any Safari on PlayOnLinux people here?
