still the same problem with the not being able to connect to the server

"The following server is no longer available:
-mulx.playonlinux.com"

is displayed when trying to download direct x

but the scipt downloaded fine! so i'm guessing its the script. can someone who knows more about pol scripting take a look at the oblivion script?

ubuntu 9.04 (jaunty)
tried it with wine 1.1.28, 1.1.32, 0.9.46
no internet proxies, no firewall, no router

Download http://mulx.playonlinux.com/files/D3DX9_XX_dll_(32Bit_All).zip through your internet browser and place it into ~/.PlayOnLinux/ressources then start installation of Oblivion.
