Dear Playonlinux community,
I am trying to install the Sims 3 Worldadventure addon.
I am running the following configuration:
Playinlinux 3.7.2
Ubuntu 9.0.4 64bit
wine 1.1.24-TheSims3
The Sims 3 (upgraded version?)
I tried to install the Sims 3 Worldadventure pack through playonlinux tools -> autorun.
The install process went well, the Sims 3 version was upgraded (to unknown version) during the install.
After the install I tried to start up the addon through the installed TS3EP01.EXE, this did not work. Neither using TS3.EXE from the Sims 3 installation.
The applications tells me that the gamedisk is missing.
After this install I am not able to start up the Sims 3 game either.
Do I need a TS3EP01.EXE? and how is such an executable vuild?
Any suggestions for resolution or information that I supply in order to assist in solving this problem?
I would guess that upgrading the Sims 3 version to the newest version 2.3 from December 15 would also break the game.
Thank you in advance for any feedback

First: Update your Wine to 1.1.35 as there is no need for any patches for Wine in this version.
Second: Yes you need unofficial TS3EP01.EXE
Third: If you used unofficial TS3.EXE then installation of add-on may have failed.
What I advise is to remove your TheSims 3 (make backup of your saves). Install it all over again and apply add-on. The substitute original TS3EP01.EXE and try to start the game. I also advise you to track what's going on on AppDB
BTW. If I would get this addon then I'll surely write script for it but I don't think it'll happen soon.

Dear Admin,
Thank you for your swift reply.
Followed your suggestions and succeded in getting the WA addon to work.
The hardest part was to realise that I also needed to replace the TSLHost.dll.
Maybe my small donation to Playonlinux will get you closer to acquiring the addon yourself.

Citation de balle-larsen: Maybe my small donation to Playonlinux will get you closer to acquiring the addon yourself.
I don't receive any of those donations neither for my own spendings nor for administrating with them. I suspect that these donations aren't spent on new games.
