Hello,
I tried F:NV some time ago with POM and it was unplayable so I used Bootcamp to play it. Last Weekend I gave it another try. I deleted/uninstalled the old prefix and started all over after updating to POM 2.4.4. The installation finished without problems. Starting the game with the launcher is also no problem (But I can't coose AA : ( ). After loading a game I can play a few secound or minutes. The game-performance is not as good as with Windows/Bootcamp, but it's playable. The real problem is: The game is always crashing after a while. Does anybody know how to get this game run!? System: Mac OS 10.6.6 on a current 27" iMac |

Hi !
First, try to run the game wine another version of wine (The latest if possible) Then run the game in PlayOnMac console (Edit /Users/Your_Name/Library/PlayOnMac/configurations/installed/Fallout New Vega, and remove the line "export WINEDEBUG="-all"") Then, run in PlayOnMac Console cd configurations/installed ./Fallout\ New\ Vega (Replace with the good name) Paste the errors here |

What do you mean!?
Start POM choose the F:NV-Installationscript tell it where the DVD is, click on next sometimes.. |

It seems that you need to pass the game protection, because wine is unable to valid your original DVD

It crashes the game while playing!? I would expect, that it asks me to insert the correct DVD on startup.
Maybe I should try some different "cracks". |

PlayOnLinux version: 4.0.12
Wine version: 1.0.1 Distribution: Debian AMD64 Distribution version: 6.0.2.1 (Squeeze) Graphics card: Ati Radeon HD6870 Graphics card driver: (proprietary) Catalyst 10.9 Install: -Install game: 'fallout new vegas' (steam version) does not work properly. The install runs fine until it starts downloading f-nv. When that is done: nothing happens. Waiting, running fallout, or exiting fallout/steam does not help: the installer just waits forever, the install is never completed. (allthough you can play the game just once each install) So, I tried this, with more luck: -install game: 'steam' -from within steam, installed f-nv -from within steam, 'play' f-nv That worked pretty good. Music is good. Sound is good. Few bugs I experience: 1) some default mouse pointer is stuck in the middle of the screen 2) in the options (on startup), the graphics adapter detected is wrong: "ATI Radeon HD 3200 Graphics", but it works anyway 3) I cannot play windowed: pixels go beserk, fullscreen works fine 4) whenever I die, the game hangs, and I have to press ctrl-alt-f2 (root, password, reboot) to recover from it. 5) minor issue: leaving the game will set the desktop resolution to the game resolution. (updated wine from git to version wine-1.3.28-421-gb615335. The only difference was that now, whenever I die, I can press esc to 'kill' the hanging game, and restart from the last savedgame without the need to reboot) Edytowane przez Bas Koning |

i myself have had alot of issues, ive installed the latest version of wine ( i think, maybe im missing a part?) and ive installed pol and chose to run f-nv through steam, steams downloaded fine and works smooth, but when i click to play f-nv, it freezes on the " obsidian" title screen, i have to shutdown my laptop from there,
specs- Hp pavilion dv7 amd triple core processor with ubunutu 11.10 please help, ive also been trying to play skyrim but, pol dousnt seem to have it yet. |
