Hey Guys,

First of all I think writing in english is better then writing in german for you, but please feel sorry if I made some mistakes.

Notice: I'm using POL the first time

Now (finally) to my problem:
I'm trying to run the DayZ Standalone using this tutorial: javascript:nicTemp(); (sorry, the main page may appear in german)
After I downloaded Steam and I was trying to run it the Steam Update Window opens and after 1 sec. this message appears: ERROR: No SteamConfigServers are online
Now I only can cancel the updating progress....
The POL Console doesn't "say" anything about starting Steam or something like that.
I've tried it on Wine 1.7.9, 1.7.14 and 1.5.25 (also i knew that this wont work).
So that's it.

Thanks for any help.

Storm

P.S: I can open the Steam.exe i downloaded directly from the steam website with wine. If i try to run the DayZ.exe then (with wine again) the screen get's black and a weird picture in the middle of the screen. It's like a interference (translation from leo.org is maybe wrong) and i have to shutdown my laptop pressing the power-button 5 secs because can't do anything (Alt+Tab; Alt+F4: Ctrl+Alt+Del; Ctrl+Esc are all not working).

You may want to start over and follow this guide with a manual installation: Steam Source Games

It walks you through the proper settings for Wine Configuration, PlayOnLinux configuration, installing packages and Launching Steam.

sure, I recommend setting the game resolution to match your Linux desktop.
As long as you are using Wine Virtual Desktop the game will appear fullscreen.
Yay!
