Witcher 2 Steamversion Steaminstallation not working properly

I'm currently trying to install "The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings" via PoL.
It seems to work fine until the point where it says that you shouldn't press play after the Steam download finishes. Then Steam starts installing and at some point no new Windows pops up and the Logs give the same error over and over.
I'm running Arch Linux with the current PoL.
The end of the log, shown in the debugger for that drive is the following
I'd appreciate your help, after that Linux port for this game was so half assed that PoL still seems to be the better option.

I'm having the same problem, even tried to use the latest wine build with the script, same thing, system wine seems to be working fine though. I have problems using the prebuilt wine binaries on Arch with anything, only system wine from Arch repos or self compiled will work here.
So to temporary workaround this until someone care to figure it out would be to comment out the following in the pol script to use your installed wine installation instead,

Why does it say to "not click play"?
Normally after downloading a game you can go right on to launching it. Just make sure you have the correct libraries installed ahead of time.
You can go to the games folder in: /home/username/.PlayOnLinux/wineprefix/steam/drive_c/steam/steamapps/common
Look around for directx, vcrun, visual c, dotnet, etc.
And they say to disable GLSL in PlayOnLinux Configure, Display
Also Steam has been known to crash games with the In-Game Community overlay. Try disabling it.
