Hello

Has anybody managed to get the new Legend of Grimrock 2 games to even install let alone

run it ?

I have the DRM free Mac GoG version, I choose to install, I then choose Wine engine 1.7.28 the install starts but......

Towards the end of the install I get these errors.

<OK>

Shellexecuteex failed code 2, file not found

<OK>

Runtime error (at 68:445)

<OK>

Runtime error (at 196:799)

<OK>

Runtime error (at 196:799), Out of range

<OK>

Runtime error (at 196:7990, Out of range

That,s it install fails at that point.

For any large enough GOG installer (the ones that take more than 9 minutes to install, or something like that), you'll probably run into bug #32451 https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=32451

Workaround is to supply the installer with a /nogui parameter, but that cannot be done thru manual installation, only scripting.

I cannot claim to understamd anything about the mechanics of game installation into wrappers, but in this instance it does not take very long to get to the error point. I ge the GoG loading splash with the bliue bar showing time taken so far, it takes less than a a couple on minjutes to get to nearly the end when the install falls over,

Thanks for that pointer to your list at GoG, also thanks for the pointer for your scripts also, but how do I get this game into a wrapper ? I assume that somebody has to write a scipt to do this, yes ?

I tried taking the installed folder from a windows install and dropped it into a wine wrapper, went into Advanced and chose the .exe to run the game. When I then try to run the game the wine icon just bounces and then closes.

Thanks so far.
