I just installed Mint 17.1 and (of course) the first thing I installed was PlayOnLinux 4.2.7
When I launched it I got two error:
- Can't find Wine
- Can't find xterm
Guess I forgot to install Wine first, though I normally do. So I installed Wine from the software manager, launched again and then only got the "xterm" error. I'm not totally sure what it means, but I tried the Wine Manager and it just stays blank.
So I install xterm with Synaptics Package Manager and launch again.
No more errors, but Wine Manager still doesn't show anything.... just blank.
I uninstall PlayOnLinux 4.2.7 and install the version avaiable in Software Manager: 4.2.2
Yes its old, I know... but guess what? The Wine Manager works perfectly.
Ok, so I go back to the website download 4.2.7 and try the Wine Manager again.... blank again.
I noticed last night 4.2.8 was available so I downloaded it and installed.
Wine Manager still blank.
PlayOnLinux Configure will see the installed versions of Wine but won't allow me to install any newer versions.
Everything else seems to work fine. I was able to install Steam, Download Grim Dawn and launch it just fine.
I even updated Mint and the Kernel version as well.
What am I missing here?
