Hello, PlayOnLinux Community.
I'm a novice programmer and new to PlayOnLinux (having used Lutris, Bottles, and Heroic Launcher before) and found that I like PlayOnLinux's scripts for installing older Windows software. In particular, I've been trying to install WordPerfect 2021. The initial installation of WordPerfect 2021 works on any of the Wine installers; however, it seems that the installation requires a second part in which the user must click on what software in the WordPerfect suite of products the user would then like to install and then that particular software is downloaded from the web. Unfortunately, it seems that second part calls internet explorer (or Edge?) specifically to connect to the website to install the second half of the program which, in Wine, triggers the IE substitute (winebrowser) which isn't able to run javascript and thus not able to connect and download the actual word processor. Thus, I've been trying to install either Internet Explorer or Microsoft Edge in a playonlinux virtual drive with the intention after that is successful to start the WordPerfect installation software in that same prefix/virtual drive. I've been able to successfully install internet explorer 6 in playonlinux but unfortunately, WordPerfect 2021 requires Internet Explorer 11 or Microsoft Edge which I've not been able to get installed (I've tried different versions of Internet Explorer and Microsoft Edge (different releases and 32 and 64 bit version) and used Wine to emulate Windows 7, 8.1, and 10 to no avail).
I'd appreciate anyone's suggestions as I do not yet have the skill set to know how to write my own installer scripts to install either Internet Explorer 11 or Microsoft Edge.
Thanks!
