Do you think reinstalling POL + remove the .PlayOnLinux could fix something ? (I'll lost my games, but I can reinstall them)

You can backup your games by going to /home/username/.PlayOnLinux/wineprefix/
Then cut-n-past your game folder to your desktop.
You can also cut-n-paste the "shortcuts" folder too so you don't have to remake the shortcut.

When you re-install PlayOnLinux, just cut-n-paste the folder back to the same wineprefix folder and they will automatically appear.

Nothing on AUR, but I'm trying something:
I'm installing Ubuntu on chroot to test if PlayOnLinux will work on it.

Yeah. Honestly, that was a guess. I wouldnt worry about that part. It rarely causes issues, but can.

No need to chroot Ubuntu. Arch is fine. Im using Arch, and You shouldnt have any issues with playonlinux on there. Its more likely the game having issues. We always get bug reports when LoL updates something on their end. hahaha. Check appdb.winehq.org and see if there are any updates.

Could you try the last update of the game on your computer please ?
(to see if it's a League of legends update problem or a dependency problem or anything else...)

I dont have time right now to do that. You need to delete the virtual drive for LoL, reinstall it, and give us the Install Script debug output, as well as the Virtual Drive debug output, and post the FULL debug output. Not part, not the things that look bad, but the entire thing. If you check the debug menu in POL, there are 2 sections. One for install scripts, one for Virtual Drives. Post both debugs in there entirety after you delete the virtual drive and reinstall it and try to run it. This will provide the information we need.

Ok, no problem.

I'm trying to reinstall POL and I'll give you the log files.

Can I backup League Of Legends or I must reinstall it from internet ? (I think I'll have less problems with a full reinstallation from internet no ?)

I'm pretty sure you can cut-n-paste the game files to your desktop.
Then cut-n-paste back when you setup the client.
If not, then it will download anyways

I just have to remove the .PlayOnLinux folder or there is something else ?
Ronin DUSETTE Saturday 26 October 2013 at 18:39
Ronin DUSETTE

no. Thats fine. You dont need to reinstall POL. Just removing that folder will reset POL back to defaults, like the first time you ran it. :)
