How do I edit "10-ptrace.conf" when the folder won't let me? I can view the file, and open it in Mousepad or Notepad, but the folder refuses to allow me to save it. I can copy it to another location, then edit & save it. BUT, then I can't copy and paste it back into /etc/sysctl.d folder. The folder appears to be locked by the root. The ONLY thing that seems to work right is
echo 0 | sudo tee /proc/sys/kernel/yama/ptrace_scope
at the Terminal.
Don't just tell people "edit this file in this folder as root..." and expect everybody to "know" what you're talking about.
