Situation: I installed MCP-4A in pol, fires up as expected (saved me ty pol!). It is a program to interface with my Kenwood TH-D72A amateur radio.

However It cant see the USB connection inside POL. On Ubuntu this is: /dev/ttyUSB0, and the connection shows up in the list. I found a post for mac and the solution to a similar problem was given at the link below posted by an admin.

LINK:http://www.loslocos.org/2011/09/14/airmail3-with-bluetooth-running-on-mac-os-x/

it lists the preexecution commands:

d ../dosdevices
ln -s /dev/tty.SCSPTC-IIusb-COM1 com1(ln -s /dev/ttyUSB0 for me)

In terminal i get permission denied

The only similar linux post I found said this program can't talk to your USB, however I'm guessing given what I have found that this can be done I just dont understand the method and differences with linux.
