Hello,

I want to use the software of my hometrainer (daum - ergowin) on Linux Mint 19.1 . Its running, i can comunicate via RS232.

But if i stop cycling i get Errors (wrong data from cockpit, broken connection). Also often during the training. For me it seems like, if there is a timeout, because the Processor of the hometrainer is busy. I found an information from the manufacturer how the serial interface is transmitting data. There is written, that there can occur delays up to 1 Second.

With an other PC i sniffed the RS232 communication. I can see that it is transmitting all the time during trainig short data-strings to the hometrainer, and the device sends back the actual data. But when the error accours, the PC sends wrong information to the hometrainer and displays an error, because of the worng answer.

I have also entrys in the Debugger (see blow).

Windows can handle it without any Problems. (Same PC, same hardware)
I'm was using a PL2303 Profilec  USB to RS232 interface. I thought it could be an a driver issue of the interface so i bought a FTDI interface (USB-> Serial). The problem remained.
I tried to configure the serial interface on linuxmint with the command "setserial" and tried to enlarge the delays.. no Changes.

I even tried an old 32bit HP Laptop with an integrated RS232 with Linux Mint, same results.

Can you help me? I have no idea where i can search or where i can ask.

thank you,

Harald
