macOS Catalina: When will PlayOnMac be ready?

The upcoming macOS version drops support of 32bit apps.

Codeweavers just announced that Crossover V 19 is available.

Does that mean that they will release their changes to WINE so that you can update PlayOnMac ?

We should then be able to run 32-bit applications on Catalina!

Yes, it basically means this. We'll need to have a little work to do though to have something stable.

Currently we have managed to run a 32bit version of wine on Catalina. Now we are trying to update winebuild to automate the process

Crossover is commercial (and the main contributors to Wine development), they have developpers paid to work.
Here the work is made by volunteers on their free time.

Dolkkaa, here the work is made by volunteers on their free time. According to what I red into the code developpers, the answer might be never.
