Single-pixel-thick Windows

Greetings,

First of all, I'll confess that I'm not sure that I've placed this thread in the corect sub-forum, as it's not clear to me whether the problem lies with PlayOnLinux, or the game-specific installation script--or even perhaps in WINE itself!

In short, what's happening is this:

I'm attempting to use the PlayOnLinux installation-wizard to install a listed program--that being the game "Memoria" from GOG. Initially it seems to work, and appears to get at as far as at least the initial stages of installing a new WINE-prefix.

However, at some point it opens two new windows--for what, I don't know. Nothing more happens for a time after that, so I presume that some form of user-input is required within them.

The problem being that they're both nothing more than single vertical black lines--a single pixel thick, I'd guess. They can be moved around, they can be focussed, but they don't appear to have window-decorations that would allow for them to be expanded. As a result, I don't know what to do with them.

Does anyone know what might be happening here, and/or what might be done about it?

My thanks for your time!

*bump*

Does anyone have any ideas as to the cause of this, or how it might be resolved...?

(And a minor update: I've now seen it not only with the installer for Memoria, but with another installer too, I believe. (Although I forget offhand which; it might have been Deus Ex: Human Revolution--Director's Cut.) )
