Hello,

I've triing the script for BoF IV and I've found that it doesn't work at certain point of the game. I think it's more a problem of wine itselft, but I will explain:

I use Debian Squezze (testing)

When you return to take Cray from the desert (around 2 hours of game), they go to sleep and the game freezes.

If I open the game directly from wine (1.1.26), I get a lot of copies of the error:

fixme:ddraw:IDirectDrawImpl_RestoreAllSurfaces (0x12f118): Stub
fixme:d3d_surface:IWineD3DSurfaceImpl_BltOverride Implement hardware blit between two surfaces on the same swapchain

I've tried to use (with Manage Wine Versions) to use 1.1 (the one you can find usually in Debian Squeeze), 1.0 (if you see winehq they say it works), 1.1.25 and 1.1.27 (the last)

I'm using Gnome, and I don't use Compiz or any similar.

About my computer, it have:
*Inel Celeron M 430 (1,73GHz)
*ATI Radeon Xpress 200M (I have installed fglrx, the propitay drivers) with integred video card (64MB)

I've also tried using IceVM instead of Gnome and using standard video drivers. It was very slow (i need to use hardware acceleration) but it freezes in the same moment.

Thanks

You should blame Wine for that. I could help if there is a workaround for that and it isn't already in installation script.

I can't find nothing
A lot of people say:

"Oh! This configuration works for me, but i've only played a little"

But doesn't work for me.
This is my second time to begin it, so i've been fast. The first time it tooks me 3 hours to arrive there. I think that, when i'm in home, i will use VirtualBox this problem.
