Hi All,

So, I'm experimenting with running FL Studio 10 via PlayOnLinux - and its working surprisingly well. However, I'd like to also install some plugins. In some cases, it's as simple as copying dll files into the relevant folders, but I also own an orchestral library which has its own installer.

POL doesn't seem to have an option for installing an app into an existing prefix - only into a new one. What will happen if I select the option for installing into a new prefix, but choose the name of an existing one? Will crucial things get overwritten?

Is there any other way around this?

You can select an existing prefix :

Install -> Manual install -> Edit an existing prefix.

I have a similar problem as thefr00n. I install Baldur's Gate into a new prefix. But how can I select a script inside the Manual install procedure ?
With your approach I have to manually check what's done in all the different scripts and do all of them by hand.

I want to install a big patch for the game requiring Baldur's Gate 2 to be installed in the same prefix (!). How can I use the scripts without doing everything manually ?
I'll try the rename approach and hope for the best.

Update: You can apparently not rename the prefix before you install a game unfortunately. I could force it though by creating a soft link.

Thanks for the great scripts making it a lot easier to install programs.
