Hi Everyone ^.^

I recently found a fun little f2p 3rd person Voxel MMO called Cubic Castles.  Normaly games I have tried with POL all have fixes already here but I suppose this ones a bit new, and I really enjoy it ^.^ I play it on my tablet but figured I would really like to run it on my desktop as it does have a windows version.

What works:

Install, Login, Movement, Camera Movement, Chat, Hud, Skymap, Menus, Options

What Does Not:

Fog (normaly a distance fog) is so close that it blocks everything from view except things that are close to the camera while in realms (worlds) and on the overmap it makes everything white (but not the hud, chat or character names.  When going to the skymap (an overworld map) there is a moment when everything is clear, displays proporly, with no fog, map is also not affected by fog.

Figured I would see if anyone here has any ideas or tips on what might cause or fix it =P

Thanks,

Polli

Specs:

AMD64 4400x2

Do you have the 32 bit Nvidia drivers installed on your system? Have you tried to install d3dx9 from the Install Components tab into that virtual drive? This looks like something that may need to be checked out by WineHQ.org. The error it is throwing is related to wined3d, which is a Wine component. There may be a patch needed.

If the few things i suggested do not work, I would file a bug report with them, and if they have a solution, feel free to let us know. If there is a patch or something that they have available, we can always make a patched version of Wine to use. As far as I can see though, this is likely going to need some patchwork done through Wine itself.

You need the 32 bit drivers installed along with the 64 bit ones.

Heyp,

Yup 32bit drivers installed as well, also tried with the open source 64/32bit drivers (Game seems to load up well with them too) but same errors. I think your right about the wined3d

Ill keep searching and fiddling with things to see what happens, and I will get a bug report posted up on wineHQ and see if anyone has any ideas there too.

Thanks ^.^,

Molli

For sure. The Wine community is pretty strong, and if it is throwing an error in a Wine module, then they will want to know for sure.
