Some games and applications are 64 bit and will only work in 64 bit virtual machine of Wine, however if your installing a 32 bit application could you choose 64 bit regardless? Or will there be some performance and simulation issues when running some 32 bit application and games in a 64 bit Wine container?

Perhaps yes (most of POL functions are 32 bits).

Initially I was skeptical about 64-bit Wine and 64-bit Virtual Drives so I stuck with the 32-bit ones.

Now I have found that 64-bit Wine and Virtual Drives are completely stable!

I run all of my games in it and everything works really well so far.
