I'll be honest, more than likely I'm just overthinking things, but I haven't been able to find a sufficient answer by Googling it, so I thought I'd ask you all.

I recently upgraded to the M3 Pro MacBook Pro. I have the 12-core CPU 18-core GPU model with 18GB of memory. Most of my gaming is done primarly on my consoles, but every once in a while I like to play games on my computer. I'm wanting to get Baldur's Gate 3 on my Mac eventually to play on the go, but now I'm wondering if that's a good idea or not https://100001.onl/ .

I downloaded Knights of the Old Republic again and decided to start a new playthrough since it's been a while. When I was in the character creation screen and had just started the game, though, my Mac got noticeably warm. With CleanMyMac it looks like the CPU was getting up to around 160-170ish F, which I definitely wasn't expecting, and certainly not with a 20 year old game. I booted it up again the next day to see if it would do it again, but this time the temperature was a bit less. Is this normal, and is that temperature range okay? I feel like if it's doing this with KotOR, how would it handle Baldur's Gate?

I've never really played games like this on my Mac before. So I just wasn't expecting for my MacBook Pro to get noticeably warm/hot, and I want to make sure that I'm not doing any damage or putting unnecessary strain on the machine.
