Hello! I need recommendations on easy to install and use external hard drives to free up space on my iMac. I am not tech savy at all, and in the past I’ve used the WD my passport to export my files but it is far too complicated for me. I dislike having to install a separate app on my computer to use them. I bought a new one in 2023, that i used ONCE to export all my files, now in 2025 i tried to open it for the first time since then in the same exact iMac i initially used it in and I cannot get it to open and my computer doesn’t read it. I’ve googled every solution and nothing. My previous WD my passport did the exact same thing. Used it once and cannot open again.
