apply Wine patch for WC3

In warcraft3 I cannot host games in recent version of wine, but someone has created a patch for wine to allow it, which is great:

Can I somehow have this patched version of wine be another wine version option in PlayOnLinux? Or will I have to do this outside of PlayOnLinux?
