[update:  I'm too tired and old for this.  I'm just going to take a nap and reinstall]

[update 2:  after reading some issues on this subject on the archlinux wiki, they some issue with the proprietary fglrx drivers and mention a package called catalyst-hook that is not available for Ubuntu which should resolve the issue.  I then recalled being able to play using the xserver-xorg-video-ati driver.  Switching to the open-source driver fixed this particular problem.]

I recently removed my Nvidia GPU and went back to using the AMD A10's integrated GPU.  After that the game crashes at load.  I do not want to delete and reinstall.

There is a single error which I'm sure is related:

err:ntdll:RtlpWaitForCriticalSection section 0x7e240de0 "wined3d_main.c: wined3d_cs" wait timed out in thread 0072, blocked by 0067, retrying (60 sec)

I expect that this is related to the installation section where it asks me to pick my preferred GPU and I originally chose my Nvidia GPU.

GAME:  League of Legends
CPU:  AMD A10-5800K APU with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics
GPU:  Integrated Radeon HD 7660D
GPU Driver Version:  fglrx-update 15.20
OS:  Ubuntu 14.04 64-bit
RAM:  8GB DDR3
POL Version:  4.2.2

It was too dangerous to go alone and I forgot to get the sword.  Please send help.

Tried, but didn't help:

1.  Opening a shell and using

POL_Wine_SetVideoDriver

If everything was easy, nothing would ever get done.

Hi,

If the game (that you didn't mention by name) installation already involved this statement, then I think this is the right thing to try; By the way you don't need to open a terminal, just install the "VideoDriver" pseudo component:

Configure button > (select virtual drive) > Install components tab > VideoDriver > Install

I'm not sure it'll fix the issue though, it could just be a problem with the driver for the other card/chip
