On https://www.playonlinux.com/en/download.html, under the ubuntu section, it states that you need to install wine:i386. When I sudo apt-get install wine:i386 I get a message about this package being a virtual package that is part of wine-development 3.6-1 and wine-stable 3.0ubuntu1 and that I should explicitly select one to install. I am reading this to mean that I need to select one of those wine versions if I want that package to be installed. I am not sure if I need this file?

Since that didn't work I figured lets move forward with the command line install and see what happens. I am using Ubuntu 18.04 aka bionic and I saw that it wasn't listed, but there also seemed to be a logical difference between the setups with playonlinux_(version).list being the only difference. So I inserted bionic for (version) and when I ran the second command listed, the wget, I got a 404 Not Found error, which I am figuring means that you don't have a bionic install available?

The command:
sudo apt install playonlinux

ended up working, but is that all I need for a complete install to function?

you must install the wine-stable version.

If you use the apt install without using our guide, you're using the Ubuntu build (some distro don't have an up-to-date package)

when I run: sudo apt install playonlinux

ubuntu 18.04 installed version 4.2.12 of PlayOnLinux and installs packages:

wine-stable
wine32:i386
wine64

I have not selected a version in the program yet, that was just initial install.

Q1: Is that good to go?
