Cheats - Return to Castle Wolfenstein

Hi there, I am wondering how do I add cheat codes to my games.  I have Return to Castle Wolfenstein and to access the cheats I have to load it up using the +sc sv_cheats 1 to when I load it then use the ~ then the /cheat command to apply the cheat code.  Is there a way of doing this?
