Im running ubuntu 12.04 lts 64 bit on a intel e2160 1.8ghz dual core with 4gb of ddr2 ram with a nvidia en210 1gb silent card from asus. I seem to have no graphics issues but my sound cuts in and out and sometimes my keyboard goes out and i have to hit esc a few times til it comes back. i believe im using the wine 1.5-diablo3 or whatever it was called. idk if it matters for the sound but my pc is connected to my tv by hdmi which also transfers the sound. the sounds is annoying but not a huge issue, i would like he keyboard issue fixed however.

also if its worth noting i also have sound trouble in WoW. i have tried all the different channels in WoW and changed sound quality from high to low and nothing seems to fix the issue.

im using the post-release updates for nvidia drivers

is there a way to make d3 run thru glide or opengl? i found a way for WoW

So... its 2013 november here, and this issue apperas to be old.

But alas, it sitll happens... and this thread is not indicting any definite fix yet... so is there no diablo 3 on linux distros at all? because comments suggest it is no longer isolated to 64 bit distros (however I am starting to think it's limited to amd / ati video cards, has anyone with nvidia had this issue?)

I have ati radeon hd6770
intel core2 duo x64 chip on ubuntu 12.04 x64

ubuntu's 'additional drivers' suggested video drivers were installed (post-updates)
(the only one option for 3d rendering)
ia32-libs were installed to get around the 32 bit rendering error

Step by step heres what I go through every attempt:
open Terminal
$ playonlinux
##diablo is not in the list despite multiple installs
install
##pick diablo 3 from searching 'diablo'
##browse to installer already saved to HD from my account on blizz page
##console is already complaining:
Blizzard Launcher.1575\imageformats\qjpeg4.dll from data
 [Succeeded-Writejob] dest=C:\users\Publicfixme:process:GetLogicalProcessorInformation (0x246e338,0x246e938): stub
fixme:process:GetLogicalProcessorInformation (0x246e308,0x246e908): stub
##the last line spams a lot but it appears to be working
##first error after installer.exe opens but has not been touched
err:module:import_dll Library QtSvg4.dll (which is needed by L"C:\\users\\Public\\Application Data\\Battle.net\\Client\\Blizzard Launcher.2005\\imageformats\\qsvg4.dll") not found
##I browse to the folder where the game is already installed, the first attempt downloaded everything fine,  spams a lot more:
fixme:process:GetLogicalProcessorInformation (0x246e308,0x246e908): stu
##I can now click play, and if the opening movie does not freeze my system I'll see the shader error posted above.

If the opening movie plays, it is distorted.  Broken line through corner to corner of monitor.

If and when I finally get to diablo...
menu screen loads (sometimes, sometimes doesn't) when it does it renders improperly and the words are all blurry.
I can log in to the menu and chat, but not pick a character or get in game.
Have yet to get past clicking 'new game' without freezing the system and hard rebooting.
