After browsing the interwebs for awhile, I have found a few simliar cases but no real solution to the problem.  I have the CD copy of the game that I would like to install on my laptop running Chakra linux 3.18.1.  I am getting a POL_Download - MD5 sum mismatch.

Here is what I got after running it in the console,

Looking for python... 2.7.9 - selected

I am running PlayOnLinux 4.2.5.

And my system specs are:

Processor: 2.1 Ghz.

Graphics: ATI Radeon HD 3200 Graphics RS780M

Memory: 4096MB

Any help would be great.

It looks like it is failing to download wine-gecko and wine-mono. Those are installed automatically, so as long as you have a good internet connection, it should grab those. Try to delete the virtual drive and install again, and make sure you are not using a lot of bandwidth doing something else. It is basically saying that the MD5 does not match, because the file failed to download completely or at all.

I am actually testing Star Wars:  Knight of the Old Republic this week and it runs flawlessly.  I even got the reoslultion to work at 1600x1200

I hope your video drivers aren't causing any issues.... there are a few LibGL errors in there.  I have a GeForce 550 Ti and KOTOR runs great on the Nvidia 311 drivers.

Do you have the proprietary drivers install for that HD 3200?

It is throwing libudev errors. Seems to be an error with the OS, but I have never tried Chakra Linux. I have to imagine it is the OS that is causing the problem.

Also, 64-bit Wine/POL virtual drives don't work that well. I would stick with 32-bit versions of the game, if available, and I would switch OS, or see if there is a workaround for the udev error. That is the first thing I would take care of.
