READ IF YOU WANT: MY NICE MESSAGE TO YOU: HELLO AWESOME PEOPLE WHO HELPED ME HAVE AUDITION 3.0 ON THIS MAC. IT'S OUTDATED SOFTWWARE THAT YOU CAN'T EVEN GET ANYMORE (though I did: don't ask how), YET IT'S NECESSARY FOR ME TO WORK WITH THE RADIO STATIONS I'M GOING TO BE WORKING WITH!!! (that's my enthusiastic THANK YOU based on that I'm supposed to say nice things to you guys based on posting rules which I readlaugh.)

ACTUAL QUESTION TO READ: Should be simple enough. I want to download Adobe Audition 3.0's ASIO driver. Regardless of which one (I can figure that out), should I download the Mac version or the Windows XP version for PlayOnMac to install?

My system: MacBook Pro: mid-2012 15" 2.3 GHz Intel Core i7: 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3: 7200 Rpm HD: Behringer Truth B1030A: M-Audio MobilePre (2 years ago or so): PlayOnMac v: 4.1

THANK YOU GUYS FROM THE BOTTOM OF THE HEART FOR MAKING ME FEEL LIKE A COMPUTER KNOW IT a little!

You cannot use Windows or Mac drivers through Wine/PlayOnMac or PlayOnLinux. Upgrade PlayOnMac to 4.2.5, and use WineASIO. That is the only way to get ASIO drivers through Wine/POM.

YET IT'S NECESSARY FOR ME TO WORK WITH THE RADIO STATIONS I'M GOING TO BE WORKING WITH!!!

If for some reason you cannot get it working on Linux through Wine, always remember you can use a Windows install. No reason to risk your job for something that may or may not work through Wine. Although, if the program is just looking for an ASIO driver, WineASIO will take care of that need, so long as the program itself is working. You will also need to connect WineASIO via Jack, but you will need to read the docs for WineASIO and Jack to get it working. It is not hard, but does require some configuration.
