Module 18 just dropped on Jan. 21st. along with a few bugs. My husband and I tested it on Wine 4.0 (no POL) and it plays perfectly without need of any tweaks or customization. However we are experiencing a bug on our Linux machines that fails to show up on the Windows 10 machine. When I log into Neverwinter the first character I choose will play as normal. The moment I swap characters, I lose all ability to chat, send mail, and I appear to be offline to my friends. Although they can still party up with me, I cannot use the chat system, until I log out and sign back into the system.
We are running several PCs with more than one distrobution of Linux. The current version being used on most is 4.0 and I know 5.0 is available. I plan to wait until my husband returns for the weekend, before making any decision to upgrade the Wine. Even then, upgrading from 4.0 to 5.0 may have adverse effects on this application.
Since the system was flawlessly working prior to mod 18, is this a Wine issue or their server software issue? They made no statements about changes made to the system requirements or OS. I have an open thread on the forums taking to a game developer. If or when I get an anwer from the developers, I will let you know what they say.
Thank you.
