got steam to work, now i can't play marvel rivals..

i was able to download the game and get the launcher running for a bit, but then it just crashed. after i tried to launch the game again through steam, it'd open the game (no visible window), and then after a few seconds it'd  close the game. no matter what i do, this is what happens. can anyone help??
