In order to have games with PlayOnLinux work for me I had to install the following extra components.

mesa-utils
Fixed an issue with PlayOnLinux saying 3D was not enabled

non-free-codecs
Sound wouldn't work for me on any game without these installed.

I can't say if the problem lies on the OS or Application side but perhaps these components need to be flagged as requirements to be installed when PlayOnLinux is installed by Apt-get.

My system uses an integrated ATI Radeon HD 4200 chip as the video card. I have the fglrx driver provided by Kubuntu. The OS is Kubuntu 10.0.4 64-bit.
