Download games to a different location?

Is it possible?

Hi there!
I've downloaded PoL a day ago, hoping I could get through setting up League Of Legends on my Ubuntu 12.04 the easy way.
When installing Ubuntu, I made the OS partition 5GB, thinking it would be more than enough, having in mind I'll only have the OS + some crucial stuff there. Sadly, PoL starts downloading the game to my system drive, I say "starts", since the drive soon runs out of space. So yeah, here's my question; can I somehow modify the download path? I'd really love it if all the games n whatnot get downloaded to the 2nd partition I've made, not the five-gigabyte system one.

Ehhh, you can, but its not really recommended. Once the game downloads, you can usually do:

PlayOnLinux -> Configure -> Make Shortcut from this virtual drive

and it will search the virtual drive for all exe files, and you can choose the launcher.

Though, you will most likely run into issues if you other partition is NTFS. Its best to keep them in the home folder, though.

I dont see why you couldnt mount your new partition at ~/.PlayOnLinux

As long as your are the same file system type, you should be good, but again, Im not sure how stable that is. I think one of the devs has used this method with success.

Sorry for being all goofy, but can you simplify your answer a tad bit?
I'm a complete Linux newbie, thus I'm not quite familiar with 90% of the things both of you said to me.
The 2nd partition is formated the same way as the system one. Can any of you guys give me a command or something that will do *the thing you said above* for me?
Once again, I'm terribly sorry for bugging you guys with silly questions, I'm just *very* new to the scene.

Being a Linux newbie means learning Linux things, like the concept of mounting drives (called block devices) to folders. We can only help so much with that, but its really not hard. Google is a good place to start to learn linux file system basics.
