Sounds like maybe the Nvidia drivers didn't install correctly. Can you play any other games?
Are you using a 32-bit virtual drive for Diablo 3?

nope, i cant play any game..... not even with the drivers from ubuntu.

is there a way to indicate that diablo 3 should use a 64-bit virtual drive :S

I have a feeling that "multi-arch" is not installed in Ubuntu. What this means is most games are only 32-bit compatible and you are using a 64-bit Operating System.
So you will need to install 32-bit libraries to make Ubuntu compatible with games.

Here are some instructions that might help you get them installed: 32libs multiarch

Good idea. I use Mint 16 32-bit because its just easier. I want to make the Linux experience as easy as possible.

Don't forget to install the Nvidia drivers too.
After that, you should be able to play hundreds of games.

well

i installed ubuntu 32bit and everything

started diablo 3 and i entered the game
i even selected a champ and tried to play, invoked dogs and the computer froze.

gpu tem 34ºC and CPU temp 36ºC
it took 1.6GB RaM and the i7 as cpu didnt even blinked an eye.

so if someone has any ideea why i cant play anything, i cant play even dota2 from steam

same thing, games enters and suddenly the computer froze and i have to "button" the restart.....

Interesting, ok lets get some debug outputs going.
since you can get into the menu, that is a start, but there definitely seems to be something with DirectX, drivers, or libraries going on.

Launch Diablo 3 with PlayOnLinux, but click debug (on the right) instead of "Run"
Then copy/paste the output here.
