Hey guys, I have just installed playonlinux and tried to run AC. Unfortunately, there is a serious bug, that makes playing impossible. The game is starting but the screen is cut in the middle. Also audio is broken and really fussy.

I guess your video driver has issues with textures large enough for full screen DOSBox display using OpenGL output.
- quick test: try to break out of full screen with Alt-Enter
- longer test: try adding sdl_output=surface to ~/.PlayOnLinux/wineprefix/AlphaCentauri_gog/playonlinux_dos.cfg (sdl_output=overlay may also be worth a try, see http://www.dosbox.com/wiki/Dosbox.conf#.5Bsdl.5D for DOSBox output drivers)

Sound could be broken because display is not fast enough, so both may be related.

Thanks for replying. I don't get one thing. I'm trying to play GOG-AC with wine, so why did you suggest DOSBox? Should I try to run game in DOSBox? If yes, how to install it using this program?

Ah, you're right it's a windows program, for some reason I thought it was an MS-DOS game.
So forget about all this.
