I've followed Petch's instructions to get Firefox to connect with playonlinux, but "Try this update" still doesn't work

I read Petch’s comment on and followed the instructions. On my Firefox browser, the  "Try this update" button is now linked to "/usr/share/playonlinux/bash/playonlinux-url_handler". But even so, when I click on a "Try this update" button, nothing happens with PlayOnLinux.

The comment by Petch goes on to say

Alternatively, just install the scripts from within playonlinux with the "Install" button, the list of scripts is exactly the same.

I’m not sure if this is true for the Amazon Kindle for PC and the update created by Dadu042 (a moderator on Relevant thread is at The Amazon Kindle for PC program as found in the PlayOnLinux program has stopped working for me. I would like to try the Oct 6 2020 15:23 update that Dadu042 shared on the KindleForPC PlayOnLinux thread. The exact URL of Dadu042's "Try this Update" button is playonlinux:// I believe that this Oct 6 update is not installed when you try to install KindleForPC through the PlayOnLinux program. I say this because when I try to install Amazon Kindle through the PlayOnLinux program,  the instalation wizard says that the Amazon Kindle for PC program is provided by Fekir.

Anyway, how can I get the "Try this Update" button to activate my PlayOnLinux program?
