hello everyone I am new here and I have a question. How do I install diablo 2 lord of destruction using playonmac? I was able to succesfully install diablo 2 but I cant seem to figure out how I install diablo 2's expansion. I am wanting to know because I am running lion with an urge to play some old games. and I have alreday tried installing straight from blizzard.

Use "Install a non listed program" and then, go to "install in an existing virtual drive"

Diablo 2 will run, but not LOD. Is there a way to install LOD on top of D2? I've tried everything.

I actually was speaking with someone else about this at GREAT (and exhaustive) length. It will need a script written for it, or even possibly a patch to get it installed. LOD will not install unless you make sure to install it into the DII virtual drive. Did you do this?: Open PlayOnMac -> click Configure -> click your DII virtual drive -> click Miscellaneous tab -> click Run a .EXE in this virtual drive -> select your LOD install file, and go from there.

# ronin:
while that series of steps DOES work, is there a way to make it work without going through all those steps every time?
edit: maybe doing that updates the original d2 non-expansion - get a few error message (like only one d2 can run at a time or something) but it seemed to run the expansion

Possibly. It is only 6 clicks, though. lol. :)

I'd like to add that what Quentin provided worked without issue.
Use "Install a non listed program" and then, go to "install in an existing virtual drive"
The same process can be used for the 1.13 patch.

And how about to just "run" diablo 2 lod? i mean, i have it installed on another (windows) PC, i want to just copy+paste it and run it from the folder. There are other games that whould require the same treatment, but i see no way to avoid the "installer" wizzard ever.
