Hey, I got the GOG version of the Witcher Special Edition, and installed and everything just fine, but when I run it it plays audio and displays a cursor but only a black screen otherwise. At one point the 1/4 of the screen showed the top 1/4 of what should be playing. Running on an iMac 10.6.8, 3.06 Gig Intel Core 2 Duo, 4 Gigs of RAM, and a NVIDIA GeForrce GT 130 with 512 VRAM. Also, running with Dual monitors, but even doing a "mirrored" setting didn't seem to help. Thanks!

Try:
Configure -> The witcher -> Wine -> Configure wine -> Display.
Is "Allow windows manager ton control .." enabled? If yes disable it. If not, enable it.

That got the bottom half of the screen to play the top half of the game! It was enabled by the way. Any other suggestions?

Now, you can try to set the game to your native desktop resolution, and remove desktop mode. It might work

Also, the characters are not showing up? In game and in cinematics, all the textures are missing for 99% of characters, yet the BG's are all rendered? The first battle is just a bunch of floating weapons, swinging at each other! Any suggestions?
