Stuck on simulating reboot

I tried to install COD2 and everything seemed to go fine until it got to the "Simulating Windows Reboot" part. It sat on that that screen for over an hour, and never finished. Eventually I just pressed cancel. Is there any reason why my computer isn't getting past this step? I'm running Ubuntu 7.10, and I have wine installed and working.
