League of Legends laggy despite decent FPS

OS: Antergos Linux with KDE

GPU: AMD R9 280X with proprietary driver installed

Software: 4.2.10

Issues: After ironing out a few kinks during the installation process, I am able to launch League and start a match. However, the game seems stuttery and laggy, despite the FPS counter in the top-right corner showing about 70 FPS. Any way to get this fixed?

I appreciate any help!
