Oh thats right.  If you are running a 32-bit Distro, then you will always use 32-bit virtual drives and 32-bit Wine.

I'm stumped at this point.  I don't know how the person who wrote the script got Gunslinger running?  We know its possible, but maybe you are right.. it is an AMD problem.  Wish I owned the game and I would test it myself.

I'm happy to report that since doing a fresh install of xubuntu 16.04 and then just using the POL-script, Juarez now works! (as far as the main menu at least - I will try next week to play properly). Main change I guess is that I now use the radeon open source driver, which (to me suprisingly) much better than fglrx at many games. Thanks again for your patience! I hope someone has use of this thread sometime.

Ah, I'm not surprised it was something related to AMD drivers.  Please report back if you CAN play the game.  I love hearing success stories.

It runs quite well, no crashes or nothing, but it is sluggish, even on lowest graphical settings, and there are some audio bugs, but I think those are related to the game (I find posts about such things here and there not related to wine). I guess it is to be expected though, since my computer is not supersaiyan or anything. I did play through the first few levels just fine anyhow! I will probably give it a rest until new drivers arrive, or perhaps I get a new computer. I just bought FreeSpace2 to use with Open_FS, so that will keep me occupied!

I mostly use Linux Mint on my desktops for gaming.  My GeForce 550 Ti and my GTX 950 play almost all games without issues.  Nivdia drivers rock!
