Wine 1.8.7 stable build?

Hello,

Looking back through wine's releases, I noticed there is no build yet of the 1.8.7 release, which was released in february (https://dl.winehq.org/wine/source/1.8/).

Since it's a maintenance release to a stable version, and apparently the last release of the 1.8.X branch (and the only latest version whose build is missing), it would be great to have it.

Is there any plan for it to be build in PoL any time soon?

Thanks in advance.

Is there any particular reason why you need such an old version?

I used to keep 1.6.2 and 1.8 just "in case" but haven't used them in a long time.  The new stable versions of Wine and Staging versions have been able to run everything I throw at it.

That's what I would assume as well.

Its rare to see a game only work on older versions of Wine, but it has happened.  That is the nice capability of PlayOnLinux, you can still use the older versions and still play that game.

Ok. Well, actually I have no idea why that version is missing. The Wine versions are maintained automatically so it's not like someone forgot to enter it in a list. Quentin would have to check it.

Sorry for the late answer. I don't really need it, it's more of a just in case scenario and for consistency. And I like to have the latest maintenance release of each stable release, I have some old games that I had trouble running on newer wine versions, so I keep those on older stable releases, and just upgrade them to new maintenance releases.

(Also, it's not that old, it was released in february 2017 :P).
