Greetings and a good day to  you

I use Ubuntu 16.04 LTS with POL to run Photoshop CS6.  I want to add plug-ins. My last effort corrupted my virtual drive for Photoshop, which I dont want to repeat.  I'm looking for some clear guidance on how to add plugins before crashing my set-up again.  Any guidance is appreciated

Linux 4.4.0-128-generic

POL 4.2.10

Intel Skylark i7-6820HQ

16GB Ram
