Hi,

New on the forums and I need some help/advice trying to get an old Windows game to run. I've already managed to get Championship Manager 01/02 running which I'm pleased with.

However, I'm trying to get Brian Lara Cricket 99 running. I have managed to get the game installed through Play On Mac, but when I go to play the game I get a Warning: Processor Speed message. "Your computers clock speed is approximately - 1593 MHz. This is below the minimum specification of 200MHz".

Is it the game that's causing this, or do I have too much running on my Mac?!

Hopefully this is a stupid question and there's a simple answer!

Thanks

Rob

It's not a problem with wine or POM, it's only that the program perform a hard check on your hardware. And some old program aren't design to understand new hardware. Your's probably just checking the first 3 digit (in your case 159 < 200). You must fine a workaround for that specific game on internet. Check windows user's workaround and try to reproduce them with POM/wine

Thanks for that - do I need to be looking for a workaround for that game 'for Mac', or for Windows, given I'm simulating running the game in a Windows environment?
