Experiences with 'Play on Mac'?

In the past I've played on my Linux (Ubuntu) system DOS and Windows games using 'Play on Linux'. This worked for many games. I was irritated when I saw that there is a 'Play on Mac' (https://www.playonmac.com), too. Is this a fork of the 'PoL'? https://routerlogin.uno/ Has anyone had experience with it?
