MacOS Sequoia XBox 360 Controller not working

I have read that from the latest MacOS version wired controllers are supported? Does this include the Xbox 360 controller?

I tested it directly with both the wireless dongle and the USB cable, but it does not appear in the system settings under game controllers  .
