Is Building Minecraft PS3 version on mac possible?

Recently, the source code for the Minecraft 2014 PS3 version was leaked, and people made a Windows version from that source code. I was wondering if it is possible for Mac M chips as well. I know we need to implement it for Metal (which I have no idea how it's gonna happen). I was wondering if anyone is trying this, or if it's even possible?
