Hi,

I can't get the GOTY version of Fallout 3 to work. I've tried everything that I could find on these forums, but nothing prevented it from crashing after clicking "new game". it seems that some loading does take place, but I inevitably get a null pointer exception.
I haven't seen any new thread in the last year or so so i though that most problems were fixed. It looks like people simply stopped trying -_-

I'm running Ubuntu 11.10 with a i915 graphic card (integrated in an i3-350)

Stuff I've tried:
- bUseThreadedAI
- pasuspender
- changing wine version (1.3.36, 1.3.32, 1.3.26-xliveless2, 1.3.16-xliveless2)
- not applying patch 1.7
- disabling alsa
- lower resolution
