I wasn't able to find any information on this, so I'm posting it. On my macOS Mojave installation I am running PlayOnMac with Steam inside to play AOE II HD. When I start the PlayOnMac app, it warns me that the app wont work in future releases of the operating system unless it's updated as a 64bit app. I am not sure which PlayOnMac version I am running since "About PlayOnMac" doens't do anything. And I haven't found any mention of a 64bit version of PlayOnMac. When will this be targeted? Because otherwise this will mean that a lot of people won't be able to use the software after they update the system.

For the moment, we cannot guarantee that wine will support 64bits only macOS which is a prerequiste.
However:
- the next version of PlayOnMac (Phoenicis) is 64bits ready ;
- we have managed to build one version of wine 4.0 with hangover support. We can run very basic 32bits programs like Notepad++ on 64bits wine
More info here: https://github.com/PhoenicisOrg/phoenicis-winebuild/issues/26

Since Catalina is oficialy out in appstore so when POM for Catalina will be released and available for download ? Today i have tried Catalina with POM 4.3.4(the latest) and it not launched. Used timemachine to roll back then to Mojave again.

Read the URL to the Github issue, at the bottom you will find a link to the CrossOver website, their professionnal software seems in bad state too.

Hi,
Like many of you, am a Mac end user waiting patiently for PlayOnMac's 64-bit release. Still need to hold back on upgrading to Catalina until PlayOnMac makes its next move, and can't upgrade to Catalina until PlayOnMac does.
Has there been any recent good news regarding PlayOnMac's 64-bit release date?

Hi, thank you for your interest.
We are actively watching what is going on on WineHQ / Codeweavers side, and doing some experiment with Hangover.
So far, Catalina + wine do not work together.
As soon as we have something, we will release a working alpha version for PoM so that you can test it.

Oh no! I already updated to Catalina. I will patiently wait for a alpha version to test. Thank you for your work so we can play PC games on Mac.

Thanks for the info about CrossOver, because about PlayonMac and Catalina I think no one is working onto.

Hello,
Not sure if it may be useful, but EVE Online macOS version has 64-bit Wine built-in and it runs on macOS Catalina.
