Step-by-Step Guide to Install a Windows Game Using PlayOnLinux

1. Install PlayOnLinux

You can install PlayOnLinux through your package manager. For most distributions:

• Ubuntu/Debian-based:

  sudo apt update sudo apt install playonlinux

• Fedora:

  sudo dnf install playonlinux

• Arch Linux:

  sudo pacman -S playonlinux

Or use your software center to install it graphically.

2. Launch PlayOnLinux

Once installed, open PlayOnLinux from your application menu.

3. Install Your Game

• Click the "Install a program" button.

• Use the search bar to check if your game is already listed. PlayOnLinux provides pre-configured installation scripts for many popular games.

• If found, select it and click Install, then follow the prompts.

If your game isn’t listed:

• Click “Install a non-listed program” at the bottom left.

• Follow the manual installation wizard to:

  • Choose or create a Wine prefix.

  • Install necessary libraries (DirectX, .NET, etc.).

  • Browse to the game’s .exe installer and run it.
